BeatCovidNE
COVID-19 information website for the North East of England

01 / Overview
In response to the urgent need for reliable COVID-19 information during the pandemic, the BeatCovidNE website was developed as a central hub for the latest news, information, and statistics specifically for the North East of England. Faced with a tight deadline of just two weeks, our team chose Umbraco, coupled with a uskinned template, to deliver a website that combined a clean, simple design with rapid development capabilities.
Backend: Built using C#, .NET, and the Umbraco CMS
Frontend: The website featured interactive charts, graphs, and tables, dynamically displaying data retrieved from the UK government API, providing the public with easy access to critical updates and health statistics
DevOps: Continuous integration and deployment are streamlined through TeamCity, ensuring seamless updates to the Memset server
Result: The campaign was a resounding success, significantly contributing to public awareness and understanding of COVID-19 in the North East, demonstrating the power of timely, accurate communication in addressing public health crises
