Individual Verification Platform

As the lead developer for the Individual Verification Platform (IVP), I was responsible for creating a robust web portal to streamline the management of salary loan applications, offers, and repayments for our internal teams. This project was a critical component of our Salary Loans process, integrating seamlessly with our public-facing loan application form and internal communication channels.

Project Scope:

The IVP portal facilitated the end-to-end management of salary loan applications. When an application was submitted via the Salary Loans form, a Zapier integration automatically notified the internal team through Slack and email. From there, the entire loan process—from evaluating applications and generating loan offers to tracking repayments and conducting Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks—was managed within the IVP.

• Backend: Built on a Kotlin API using the reusable Kotlin Base project that I had previously developed. The backend ensured secure and efficient data handling and integration with external systems.

• Frontend: The user interface was built using React, leveraging the React Base project for consistent design and reusable components. The frontend offered a clean and intuitive experience for internal users managing complex loan workflows.

• Zapier Integration: Automated alerts via Slack and email ensured the internal team was immediately informed of new applications, reducing response times.

• Document Management: The platform supported secure document uploads and reviews, including AML checks to comply with regulatory requirements.

• Repayment Tracking: The system provided a clear overview of outstanding loans and repayments, with visual indicators to distinguish between active and completed loan agreements.

• DevOps: The IVP platform was deployed using CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and consistent updates with minimal downtime. The use of Docker and containerised environments allowed for efficient staging and production deployments.

This project not only improved operational efficiency but also enhanced the transparency and reliability of the loan management process, contributing significantly to the team’s productivity and compliance.
